Terms of Service

Last updated August 1, 2026

Ruler of the Hill is competition management software. We provide tooling that organizers use to run prediction contests. We do not set odds, accept wagers, hold stakes, or operate contests ourselves.

1. What the platform is

Ruler of the Hill supplies scheduling, pick locking, scoring, standings, notification, consent-record, and reporting tools. Every competition is created and administered by an independent organizer who is solely responsible for its rules, eligibility criteria, entry terms, prizes, and legal compliance in the applicable jurisdiction.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and be of the minimum age required by your region and by the organizer of any competition you join. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Organizer responsibilities

Organizers warrant that their competition is lawful where it is offered, that any entry fee or prize structure complies with local law, and that published rules are accurate. Organizers handle any collection or distribution of funds directly; the platform records configuration and status only.

4. Participant conduct

Do not use multiple accounts in a single competition, manipulate results, attempt to bypass pick locks, scrape the service, or interfere with other participants. Accounts may be suspended for violations.

5. Picks, locking, and scoring

Picks lock server-side at the configured lock time and cannot be changed afterward. Imported game results may be reviewed and corrected by the organizer before scoring. Organizer decisions on disputes are final within their competition.

6. No gambling services

The platform is not a sportsbook, betting exchange, or money-transmission service. It does not offer odds, accept stakes, or guarantee any prize. Where a competition involves an entry fee or award, that arrangement exists solely between the organizer and its participants.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ruler of the Hill is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, nor for organizer conduct, contest outcomes, or third-party sports data errors.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; continued use constitutes acceptance of the current version, which is recorded with your consent history. See our Privacy Policy for data practices, or the Compliance Layer page for jurisdiction controls.
